Have you ever been in love before?  In the story Seventh Grade by Gary Soto,Victor is in love.

Teresa is going to be my girl this year. This proves my claim because, he is promising himself that Teresa will be his girl friend that year.  It also is saying that he is really in love with one person, and that he will try to be her boy friend.  Now this is and isnt a good idea for Victor, Because if he manages to impress Teresa, she will be his girl friend. But if Victor messes up there would be consequences of his actions, Teresa would not like him any more and it would mean that Teresa being his girl friend will never happen.

Mr. Buller asked if anyone knew French. Victor raised his hand, wanting to impress Teresa. This can prove my claim because Victor is trying to impress Teresa by saying he knows French. He may be saying he knows it because he wants her to think he knows French. I would say he should not do this.  When the teacher would ask him a question, he wont know how to answer and will make a fool of himself infront of the Tereasa,the teacher, and the entire class.  

"Yes now somebody give me an example of a person-you Victor Rodriguez." "Teresa," Victor said automatically. This can prove my claim because when they asked for a person Victor said Teresa automatically, which this means he defenently has a crush on Teresa. Victor should not act this way, what ends up happening is he becomes embarrassed, and when another kid is called on by the teacher, the kid say's " Teresa's house with a bunch of older brothers." Now this is also embarrassing to Victor, because everyone in that class now knows that he has a crush on Teresa. When the kid says "Teresa's house with a bunch of older brothers" it is adding on to Victor's answer, which i think will make him more embarrassed. 

So I think that Victor is in love. Because of what happens in the book I can say that Victor is in love.

AHW, Boating 2

Last sunday I went boating with my family and my brothers friends family. We started off just driving to the middle of the boat. After we got to the middle of the boat my brother and his two friends hopped on our three person lay down tube. They went about one minute before my brother flew off. After he got back on, a minute later one of his friends fell off, then his other friend swung off.  They all went again and held onto the handle with both hands this time.  Finally,  they lasted for a long time tubing. Then my brothers friends sister and older brother hopped on. We drove around the lake with them behind us. We hit a big turn and his sister flew off the tube into the lake. She got back on and went around again and then they both got thrown off. They got back on and lasted for a while too. Now it was my turn.  I jumped on the tube alone. I grabbed the handles by the middle and told my dad to start. The tube took off,

Tell me about a character you really dislike in this book. What kind of person is this character,and why is he/she your least favorite? Give some specific examples from the book to help me understand your choice. 

My least favorite character is Captain Ivers. He is a very mean slave owner who owns the main character and his family.  He also is very strict as well. When Daniel's,the main character, dad fought in the revolution and was promised his freedom, was denied by Captain Ivers. Also when Daniels dad ran away he was put in jail by Captain ivers. And when Daniels dad fought in the revolution he got soldiers notes, which he thinks is worth 600$, but after he died by drowning after he got his freedom, the notes were locked away by Captain Ivers. He also was trying to sell Daniel away to the bahamas, because he stole back his soldiers notes. Another thing he did was beat up the Daniel a few times in the story.  Also when Daniel jumped ship into New York, Captain Ivers is hunting him down and will bring him to the bahamas for sure. These are just a few reasons why Captain Ivers is my least favorite character in the story jump ship to freedom.   

AHW, new tube

about a week ago when i went to my boat we bought a brand new lay down tube for our pontoon.  I was the only kid there since my brother was at his friends house. I put on my life jacket and jumped onto the tube. At first my dad went really fast, so i made the sign to go down.  from then on i had a really good time going fast and slow, until i was on it for ten minutes. My dad stopped the boat, and i slid forward and into the freezing water. I couldn't get back on the tube so i held on and went towards the ladder as i was pulled in.

The character that i am most alike from book jump ship to freedom is probably Daniel. The reason i say Daniel as the character most alike to me is because of a few reasons. First thing that we are similar to each other is that we both are kids. Another way that we are alike is that we both live in the USA. We also both care about our family. Another way is that we both think slavery was/is horrible.  We are also both friendly. And one final way is that we are both boys. So i think i am most alike to Daniel. It is from those few reasons that i am most alike to Daniel.

last friday i went to the Saint Mary's fair. I went with my family and my friend Logan's family. When we got to the park me and my brother, mom and Logan went on the ferris wheel. we went around and around until it was over. after that we went on the longest roller coaster there. We waited in the line for about 5 minutes before getting on the ride. We tried to get on with my dad but he was to tall. So i went with my brother,mom and Logan again. After the roller coaster we did a baseball thing. My brother went, and for the final  one he guessed the speed right and got one of the really big blow up bats. When i went i was one mile off and i got a smaller base ball bat,Logan also got a smaller bat. Then we did one of those water shooter games. My dad ended up winning. He chose a prize and we went on. So we continued onto going on more rides. One ride was a hang glider where you lay down and you go around in circles. And me and Logan went into a house of mirrors fun house. I found the stairs first, so I ran up the stairs and went around the corner. I waited until my friend showed up, and when he got up i popped out and scared him. Me and Logan also went on a swing ride. We sat down and relaxed. Me, my brother and Logan went into the bumper carts as well. We went around banging into each other until the time was over. My dad, Logan, Logan's mom, my brother and i also went down a gigantic slide on mats. The final ride we went on was the hang glider again. But finally around 10:00 we left. We all had a really good time.

The ways that me and Daniel from Jump ship to freedom are alike are. First we are both kids, and we both live in the USA. We are also alike because we both care about our family's a lot. Another way is we both think slavery is horrible. The ways that me and Daniel are different are. I live in Michigan and Daniel lives in Connecticut. Another way we are different is that he's African american and I am not. Also he lives in the 1700's and I live in the 21st century. Also his dad is dead and my dad is still alive. Another way that me and Daniel are different is he is a little older than me.So i think for one thing is that we are in more ways different then alike. Those are the comparisons between me and Daniel from jump ship to freedom.

AHW, getting our tetherball court

Today when me, my brother and mom got home my mom said there was a surprise. I tried to look out the window to see what is was, but i already knew. It was our brand new tether ball court! It was supposed to be done tomorrow but i guess they finished it early! Me and my brother were really excited, we had been waiting since mid winter. As soon as we parked me and my brother rushed to the tether ball court made rules and started playing. By the first game i won in two or three minutes. But when me and my brother switched sides and made new rules, it was about to start a very long game. After about 35 minutes of playing my brother won by a very little bit. I am really happy to finally have our tether ball court. 

AHW, Vegas roller coaster

A few years ago i went on my first upside down roller coaster. It was a indoor one in a hotel in vegas. I was pretty freaked out about it. It had two loops and a cork screw. I sat next to my dad, behind my cousin Ava and my aunt. Then the roller coaster started to move. The roller coaster took off pretty fast and went down a slope. Before i knew it i was going up a loop. it went around the loop and onto the next one. After the loops were over there was a sideways turn. We spun around the corkscrew, but i kept my eyes closed on that part. After that was just going to the end and a small turn. I was still pretty freaked out about upside down roller coasters, but this ride helped a little bit. That was the first time in my life i went on a upside down roller coaster.

AHW, being sick

Today i was sick. I started off the day with waking up with a horrible runny nose. Waited in bed and watched tv. My mom said i couldn't go to school, Now this might sound good to some people butit isn't   because its tough being sick. So eventually around 11:00 i went down into our basement and played castle crashers, which is just a arcade game on the X-Box360. But eventually i had to go with my mom to her office.  We were there until 2:45, but i had my phone with me and i downloaded a new free fun game on it. But there was no time to go back home after that. By the time we were down with her work, it was 3:20. That meant that we had to go pick up my brother at Quarton at 3:50. So eventually we got home but, yet again it was no time for a break,besides watching TV for 45 minutes. Though soon after that i had to start homework. That was my day while i was sick.

AHW, Going to a barmtisiba

Last Saturday i went to my cousin chases barmitsiba. In the morning at 10:30 we went to the service. But at 6:30 there was the party. I went with my cousin Ava, my grandma and my family. When we got there the adults were down stairs, while all the kids were on another floor. My cousin invited his entire 7th grade. So it was a bit strange at first. While my parents and grandma were down stairs, me,my cousin and my brother were upstairs.  we snacked a bit and waited around. eventually after all the parents were upstairs they showed a slide show. Then we all went and ate dinner. After dinner we danced,and also got cool stuff for dancing. Before my parents,grandma,brother,cousin and me left we took photos. One of me and my brother and cousin,one with everybody,and one with just my brother and parents. I had a really good time.

AHW, Going to the rouge river 1

Today i went to the rouge river. When i got there my mom was waiting there with my boots. I slipped them on and went to the first station with my mom.  We ran a few tests in the water, but eventually it was time to go to the next station. The chemical station, we got a bucket full of the the river water and a test tube, we put some of the river water in the test tube and put little tablets in them. We shook all the test tubes upside down and then right side up over and over again. we marked it all down on a paper.  

First day of my younger brothers soccer tournament.

Last saturday I was getting ready to go to my younger brothers tournament. It was in Midland, about two hours from my house. We started to leave at 10:00 or 11:00. By the time we got there it was about 12:00 or 1:00. We got out of the car and checked into our room. Although there was no time to stay at the hotel so we went to his first game. My parents let me bring my Ipad and headphones as well. I watched about a third of the game. I saw him make two out of three of his shots also. The final score was 10-1 my brothers team had won by nine points! We now had about four hours until his next game. So with the time that we had we went back to the hotel with the entire team and ate pizza. When it was time to leave again i left with my Ipad and headphones. I didn't watch as much of the second game as the first though. I am definitely sure that my brother made at least one shot.By the end of the game i think they scored as many points as the first game but I'm not sure about the other team, But they had still won the game. After that it got a little chaotic, most of the teams players accept i think two of them went out to a peanut,tree nut free custard place. My brother is allergic to both so he was happy. I got a twix, chocolate custard in a cup. my brother got a root beer,fries and a burger.  by the time we left it was 9:00, but some kids on his team were going to the hotel pool.My parents didn't want to go so he went down with anther kid on his team with his parents. when he came back up, we watched one tv show episode, then we went to sleep. 

AHW, Bike ride

A few days ago me and my family went on a bike ride to my old school. When we got there, a few of my brothers friends were there. Two of them were twins and the other was there friends. They were using a pitching machine and hitting balls and catching them. We walked over there said hi and asked if we could join. They said we could, they threw me a mitt. I put on the mitt and played by third base. After my brother and his friends batted it was my turn. I grabbed there biggest bat and stepped up to plate. The first pitch came, I hit it and sent it by second base. After a couple more pitches, they ran out of base balls and we had to pick them up. A while after all the kids started to play on the park before we all left. When we got home we realized we were there for four hours! I had fun bikeriding.

AHW, We Will Rock You 2

A few weeks ago my Dad, Mom, Brother and I went to go see a musical with Queen's music.  It was being played at the Fisher Theater.  When we got to our seats we could barely see any other kids.  The musical was set in the future when everything was consumed by technology and you couldn't make your own music. During the entire musical it was cool to see all the old Queen rock songs.

AHW,going to a friends house

Yesterday i went to my friend alex's house. We played on our computers together until, one of his friends Aidan showed up. A few minutes after he showed up we went to the pharmacy by bike, it was a block or two away. I had a twenty dollar bill for us three to buy candy and sodas. i ended up with a twix and a cherry coke. While my friend got a kit kat and a type of soda, Aidan got a butter finger a the same kind of soda as my friend alex.  Although on the way back we had a small problem, we had a paper bag and we were riding bikes.  So since alex can ride with one hand he decided to take the bag. When we finally got back to his house we ate our candy's pretty quickly and then got back on our computers and played. 

AHW,Pine lake water skiing and wake boarding 2

It was my first day at the Pine Lake water skiing and wake boarding class. I said i wanted to use skis not a wakeboard. I was with my friend logan and two other kids a little bit younger then me. We started to get on the master craft boat. I was the only one out of the four of us using skis. I decided to go second,while my friend went first. It was a two hour period all together so each of us got 30 minutes but 15 minutes at a time. Finally it was my turn to go, I got on my water skis and jumped into the lake. When i got in i was just floating around, when they said "Cross your skis." i did that and grabbed the rope. "Are you ready?" my instructor asked, i said back "yes" And i started to water ski.  I could only hold on for a while before my hands got really tired, so i let go of the rope and relaxed in the water for my next run. After my 15 minutes were over i went back in the boat and waited for my next turn.  It felt like it had been forever since my last turn, but finally it was my turn to go back in the water. I put on my water skies and walked into the water. I started to float away from the boat, when they asked if i was ready, I yelled yes! back to the boat and i started to water ski again. I went through some bumps but stayed up.  My hands were getting really tired like the last time so i had to let go. A while after my turn it was time to go back to the docks because my class was over. My mom picked me up from the docks and started to take me home, she said "Did you have fun water skiing today?" I said "I had a lot of fun."

Me, my mom and brother were in the car, we had just finished watching a movie at a theater in Florida. When we had nothing to do we decided to go to boomers put put and arcade. We started off with out put out. We all grabbed a ball and went to the first hole. It started off really easy. But about half way through it become more and more challenging. After all of the courses were done I had tied in second with my mom and my brother won. Then we started to go inside to the arcade. I grabbed my card and went to a cartoon tank game with my brother. We played the boss battle, but we lost. So after we were done with the tank game we played a racing. We only got to play together once but it was fun. We started to leave the building because we ran out of points on our card. I had a lot of fun at boomers.

AHW, Spending a day with my papa

Me,my mom and my brother were going to visit my nana and papa.   They live in Florida.  We pulled up to there house, Went inside and got my papa. We were going to go to there neighborhood's pool to play there for a while. I grabbed a ball and jumped inside the pool, We all started to play catch. Eventually we started to get a little board of throwing the ball back and forth, So i got out of the pool and grabbed a bigger inflatable one. We started to play volleyball and passed it back and forth. Although sooner or later I was tired of playing catch, so me and my mom started to swim laps. Then me,my brother,my mom, and my papa started to play catch across the entire pool.  Shortly after that we got out of the pool and went to go get ice cream. We drove my papa back home said goodbye and left. I had a lot of fun with my papa.

Small moment story,Going to Florida.

Last week during break I went to florida with my Mom and Brother, My dad had to stay home and work so it was just us three. Are plane was taking off at 2:50, Also I was sick. When we got inside and went down into the room where you check in your luggage, both lines were huge it went back at least 40 people. So we went downstairs to the other one but it was closed. Thirty minutes passed and we finally had are luggage checked in. It was 45 minutes until our flight took off, So we ran all the way to our gate. We got on our plane and were in the very back of the plane. The reason we were going to florida was because my mom's parents were very sick. so we were going to go visit them.  Finally we landed and went to get our rental car.

Dear Mrs. Chinn

          My name is Ethan Weiss, and I am a sixth grader at Birmingham Covington School.  I am writing to say that I think we should have more time in the hall between classes.  Sometimes inbetween classes, I have to go from one side of the school to the other side just to go back to the side that I started at.  By the time I get to my locker from not running its about two or three minutes until class. When I get to my class im late and I get a tardy. It could also be a problem because some people might have to use the restroom, and by the time they get to class they could be late. Also some people might want to socialize inbetween classes, becuase they might not be able to talk to eachother in class, or it might be a kid thats not in one of their classes and its one of the only times they could chat. By the time their done talking it could be the time for the next class and they could arrive tardy. 

For other people they also may not think we have enough time. For the same reasons such as going to the restroom, talking between classes, and not having enough time to walk to there next class and get there things. Just like me they could arrive late to there next class. 

I think as a solution to this problem is that we should add one or two more minutes inbetween classes. Although it isnt much more time it still would be enough to get to your next class,gather your things and not arrive late. It could also give time for a short talk with friends without arriving late. Its also the same thing with using the restroom between classes. I hope that you could add a few minutes inbetween classes.

AHW, New restaurant

Last saturday I went to a brand new restaurant. It was a Japanese Chinese restaurant. We went to the cook top section of the restaurant. I ordered fillet,chicken and rice. It was really cool to watch the chef cook our food in front of us.He even did some awesome tricks. I really liked the food by the time i finished eating. 

AHW,Going to a friends birthday 1.

On the 18th of March it was my friends birthday, and his party. I got to his house and they were all up stairs on his computer. As soon as we all went down into his basement we were all called back upstairs to leave to go to "Rojos."  I sat next to my friend Alex in the car in the back the whole way there.  When we got there there was a hole bunch of tables combined for his birthday. We all sat down and started to talk and ordered our drinks. 

AHW, Birthday party.

It was a saturday morning, It was also my birthday and my birthday party day. It was 11:00, i heard the doorbell rig. It was my first party guest, a few minutes later my second party guest and after that my last party guest. I had three friends and we were all going to Dave and Busters. We were going to be there for three and a half hours. When we got there and got our cards we all just ran to a machine to play on. We stayed in groups of two the entire time, every now and then we switched off people and played games together. Eventually after we were done at dave and busters we went to my house and played games there. I really liked my party this year.

AHW,birthday plans.

It was almost my birthday, I didn't know what to do and i hadn't put much thought to it as well. One day i was driving with my dad in our car with my brother driving my brother to soccer practice. When my dad said what do you want to do for your birthday this year? I said i don't know yet. He gave me loads of ideas for my birthday when he finally said one i really liked and wanted to do. He suggested "Dave and Busters" I said probably. I thought about Dave and Busters for a while and finally thought i want to do this for my party. I invited three friends to the party. I am really excited for my birthday party.

AHW, Rain concert 2

Last night i went to a concert and the band was called "Rain." It was a beetles cover band/play about the beetles. They sang a lot of beetles songs,they dressed in all different kinds of clothes, and sang songs from a hole bunch of there albums. They also had about ten guitars that they played. They even played old commercials on a big TV between songs sometimes. Even though i knew only few of there songs I really liked it. I also thought it was really different because if you thought about that music and then todays music it really changed. We were there until about 10:30 or 10:45.  It was a very fun night.

Yesterday i went over to my friend Joshes house. We went down stairs right away and played on his X-Box. We played about three video games. The time flew by and before we knew it it was 6:00. AHW, Over fire cooking 1

My topic is over fire cooking. I know a lot about this topic because for the past two years at my summer camp (years 2013 and 2012.) I have done outdoor cooking which is basically learning how to build a fire, and cooking over one. I have done it for about five weeks on a camp schedule. I have learned how to make a fire, make Hot dogs,Garbage Can Pizza,Chicken Sandwiches,Pocket stew,Cherry pie and a few others.

My favorite thing to make out of those is probably the Trash Can Pizza, It may sound disgusting but its actually delicious. How you make it is... You start a fire, a big fire though it has to be big enough so you can put a trash can over it. You should also buy a brand new trash can (Make sure it is the metal trash can) ( You can use the same trash can over and over again for the pizza for different times you want to make this recipe.) You can make about three pizzas at the same time. You need.. French bread for the dough, tomato sauce, cheese. If you want to add toppings you could put any of them on it. you put the can sideways over the fire, take off the lid, and put in three of your pizzas max. If you want more you have to wait. When all your pizzas are in you put back the lid and bake them for about 15 minutes. Then once you wait you have your wonderful delicious pizza.

The pizza is my favorite thing to bake over a fire, i can make them well because I have a lot of experience of baking them. Also this is a camp recipe something from my camp in Cheyboygan MI,Its called walden And 2014 this year will be my third year. AHW, My Ohio friends coming over 1

It was Saturday, it was 12:30 me and my brother Nolan and parents were shopping. We went from the glasses store for my brother, to the dry cleaner, then the car wash and finally the grocery store. we got home by 2:30, when we opened the door we saw my friends from Ohio and there dad. They where going to be here until monday at noon. We had no idea what to do so we went downstairs and played X-box. we played until about 5:15, my baby-sitter allie and two of her cousins where here. one of her cousins were my age and the other my brothers age. My mom said that we were going to airtime.

AHW, Florida over break 1.

On Tuesday the 18th of February me and my family went to Florida. We were there for three days pretty much. I got to see my moms parents, one of my aunts and thats all. We stayed at the Marriott at Delray Beach. It had a pool and a beach right across the road! We went to the pool and beach everyday we were there, for long periods of time. I had lots of fun and so did my family.

Wednesday February 12, complaint I'm doing.

Today we filled out the sheet. The complaint I'm doing is homework.

AHW, Band Concert

Last night was our band concert. I was nervous and excited at the same time. I was all dressed up for it, I got in our car with my mom, my dad, and my brother Nolan. We arrived at BCS at 6:28, that would give me 17 minutes to get ready warm up and talk to my friends in the band. I got in the band room at 6:34 with a few minutes to prepare. I got together my clarinet and played a few notes to warm up, then we went out into the gym to find our seats. We were the first ones into the gym, I took my seat in my spot and got ready for tuning. the 7th and 8th graders walked in. The concert started at 7, we were the first to play. we got out our first song "Manchester March." At first my notes didnt sound correct, for half the song i played it with all my breath and did my best to make them sound right. The song was over and we did amazing.Our next song was tobbogan run, we started to play and did it at the right tempo and it remained  like that for the entire time. Finaly our part of the concert was over. This was my first concert with BCS and i really liked it.

AHW, Sledding 3

Yesterday I went sledding with my parents,my brother Nolan and his friend Joey. We brought three sleds and Joey brought one sled. We got to the hill and I got in my sled and went down right away in my blow up inflatable sled. It zoomed across the hill and went really far.

today I listened to the story, wrote a little bit on my essay, shared my blog post from last night, listened to other blog posts and read other blog posts.

It was my brothers birthday party. I was in my basement playing on my X-box with my brother watching. when the doorbell rang,my brother Nolan went upstairs and let two of his friends inside. They came down and played soccer, when the doorbell rang again. for the next few minutes four more of Nolan`s friends came. I was still on my X-box though,then the ball came and hit the X-box and stand and made them both fall on the ground. I was mad for a few minutes but i calmed down and decided to play air hockey and foosball with some of his friends.

january 30th

Today we listened to the read aloud, filled out the sheets for R&E, got back sheets from LA, listened about peoples storys.

One day I went to Emagine in Royal Oak. I went with my mom, my brother Nolan, my friend Josh, His mom and his brother Will. We went into Emagine to the bowling section and picked out our balls. I got a medium size seven. We went over to our lane, I was first. I picked up the ball and got a seven, and then a gutter ball, I started the bowling game out horribly. For the next two rounds I got a seven, I hadtwenty one  while everyone else was pretty much at twenty eight and thirty. I decided to change to a size nine and see if i would do better. I rolled a nine, on my next turn a spare. After that i kept getting eights and nines until round seven. I had rolled a strike! After that I looked at the score, I only had about seventy. I kept getting good scores until the final round, I rolled a nine there was one pin in the center left. I rolled a ball but I missed, I had gotten four out of six. I didn't really care what place I got, I was just happy I rolled a strike and a spare. We then left the building and went home. I had a lot of fun.

Today I conferenced with you about my essay, I will work on it at home, delete some of the sentences you wanted me to delete, i will look at the paper you gave us and check for a source so I can answer the questions and i deleted one of the few things you wanted me to delete.

AHW, Sledding 2

One day we went to Beverly Hills park to go sledding with my friend, his brother, my brother and my mom. We got out all of our sleds and ran to the hill. We got up all the stairs and saw another one of my friends and his brother with one of their friends. All seven of us went on one side of the hill and raced to the bottom, I got third place.  Then me,my friend Alex,my friend Josh and his friend Justin went down one of the sides that was more steep and had a jump by the bottom.  I thought of a game we could play.  We had a good snow day.

Tried to do work page and essay, I will finish and do touch ups at home.

Today we listened to a read aloud. told about my amos fortune book,listened to joes book. filled out a sheet, told about story to the class.

After several big snow storms, me and my family made an igloo at the end of our driveway. The plow trucks helped by plowing all the snow into a mound at the end of our driveway. We started to dig tunnel into the pile of snow. After several days me and my brother were able to sit inside. My parents took lots of pictures. It didn't melt for a really long time.

today i tried to write in the checklist but i couldn't figure it out, i will do it at home on my second copy.

monday the 21st

today i read some of my regular book,read some of the amos fortune  and did 3 signposts i noticed.

We were in boomers in Florida. Me and my brother were going to do the water bumper carts with squirt guns. we got in our bumper boats and stepped on the peddle. I zoomed across the little pond and started to shoot my brother. He started to shoot me, but it started to spin and do 360s while shooting, it had good defense and good offense at the same time. I think i had one because my brother was more soaked then me by the end.  then we hoped out of our bumper boats soaking wet and went to the next ride.

My recent experience at the doctor. The day after we came home sick from school we went to the doctors.  We drove fifteen minutes before getting there. We walked in and waited in the lobby area. We had finally gone inside our room. They checked me out and said I had a fever, which I already knew. They took a super long q-tip and stuck it up my nose.  That is how they check to see if you have the flu.   The doctor checked me over and said she didn't think I had the flu just a cold, but the results where positive I had the influenza A. It was horrible!!! I have been home from school ever since.  I have to take this horrible tasting medicine twice a day.

Another snow day, we woke up to twelve inches of snow on the ground. My family decided to go to the movies. I got in my snow gear to unbury my moms car. Thirty minutes later we jumped in the car wet from the snow. my moms car was stuck in the driveway from the snow.she started moving the car back and forward. Finally we were able to get out of the driveway. There were giant piles of snow  all around us as we drove to Birmingham. It was like driving through a maze. We saw the movie frozen it was a very funny musical.

Over winter break me and my dad built a snow man as tall as me. First me and my dad grabbed snow and started to roll them. They started to get really tall, when I thought , when I thought I was done with mine I looked at the one my dad made. It was really big and we were done with most of our  snowman.  So I started to make the last piece which was the head. It was the perfect size, we put it on top of the others. My brother then came out with a carrot and two mixed Oreos. My dad put on the carrot I put on Oreo and Nolan put on a vanilla Oreo. Finally the snowman was done. Two weeks later though a squirrel ate the carrot and the Oreos. That was the time I built a snowman with my dad.

One day I was at the Atlantis in the Bahamas. We were at the water park doing all the fun slides there. Me and my dad wanted to do a two person racer, but my brothers height at the time was to short for the slide so he couldn't come. We waited in the line for about five minutes. Finally it was my turn, i sat down and watched the counter "3...2...1!" My dad went down the slide but I wasn't aloud to go because I was sitting. My dad was a fourth of the way down when I finally heard them say "lay down" so I took off. I was going really fast and somehow I passed my dad who was half way down. I had reached the bottom, and had beat my dad by one or two seconds! When he finally reached the bottom he said " I saw you fly down that course really fast!" I said " I can't believe I actually beat you." then we found my mom and told her what happened. After that we moved onto the  next slide and had fun. That was the time I was water sliding at the Atlantis Bahamas.

One day I was at a water park called Rapids in Florida, its a giant water park. It was my second time there and. This time I would do the highest slide there. I waited in line with my dad my uncle my brother and three of my cousins. I was taking the second turn while two of my cousins went first.  I chose one of the two slides the one with put a giant drop. I got on my back and went down. It was basically dark the entire time, and loads of turns. I didn't know where the end was but I kept turning until I saw a faint light. I got brighter and brighter until I shot out of the darkness and into slopes. When I finaly reached the bottom I got up and saw my brother speaking wet from the slide. I said "how did you like the slide?" He said "it was awesome!" Then we waited for my dad and I saw him go even faster than I did, he liked the slide as well. I was happy that I did that slide and went down it. Then we walked to the next slide to go down.

Both year round school, essay

Year round school is not a good idea. It would also have the same amount of days as a traditional calendar school, a 180 day school year (Name not given). Expert research from Bradley McMillan, "collected data in North Carolina, proving that year round school students achievements were no higher than traditional schools" (Education Week). As expert research suggests, kids that go year round have just as much of a chance to loose information as kids that go to a traditional calendar school (Name not given).  Finally, in Salt Lake City, statistics prove that year round schools only made 50% adequate yearly progress, while traditional calendar schools made 80% adequate yearly progress (Deseret News). In conclusion, I believe that year round schooling is not as good as traditional calendar schools.

Thursday January ninth

Today I wrote a story,listened to the read alouds, I tried to do the page for DRN I will do that at home.

Florida boomers go cart racing.

I was racing against ten teenagers and my dad and brother in the same cart, I was on my own. I was at boomers in Florida, a place in Florida with a Lot of things to do like go carts,water bumper carts,arcades, laser tag and batting courts for baseball. I was doing the advanced go carts a gigantic go cart course. I was the fourth cart in the line of 10 carts. The buzzer went off, fwoosh! all the carts went down the course. My car was going slower than the other carts and I was being bumped into by the teens. My dad and brother where in the back while I was third in the back. Then when I pushed all the way down I went really fast. I was 8th out of the 10 carts besides my dad.  I tried to pass 2 girls, something was flying in my face making it harder to see but I still kept trying to pass them. I had then passed  the two girls I felt really happy but I was still in sixth. I passed another 2 people, I was in fourth I couldn't believe myself that I had gotten that far. Then there was a teenage boy and girl in front of me, I passed the girl easily but the teenage boy was very very annoying. He kept cutting me off and bumping into me. If I could i would have bumped back into him a few times. I was very annoyed and the finish line was only three turns away. I didn't know if I could pass him. Another turn passed two turns to go, another turn passed, I wasn't going to loose to this teen. I rammed down on the peddle full speed rammed into the back of his left corner of the cart made and made him turn just enough for me to get through, I was squeezed in between the cart and the wall the line was only four seconds away and I had passed him. I was super happy! I had passed him by one second left. I didn't care that I was second I had started in third went down to ninth and made it to second. My dad finally passed the line, he was in ninth place out of eleven. He thought It was unfair that he had the slowest car and was the last one to leave the start. We got back into are car and told the story of how I had gotten 2nd, then we went back to our hotel. That was probably my best run ever in go carts and the last time since I was at boomers.

AHW, Sledding 1

One day during winter break, we went sledding with my friend and his family and my family. With our new sleds we went to a place with big hills and nobody there. There was four inches of snow on then ground,still snowing. We got to the hill after five minutes of walking from the parking lot. There was nobody there,them we put down our sleds. I took one sled and ran and jumped into the hill, It was a. Fast hill. At the end of the hill I fell into the snow and was covered. I went down over and over again, then we went to a new hill. There was anbig hill on it that some kids made. Right away I tried to make it,I missed by a small amount. On the second try I made I flew for two or three seconds and hit the ground almost hitting the golf flag right after. My second run i hit the hill again but I hit the flag, fell off my sled ,hurt my leg and my face was covered in snow. After that I sat out for a while. Then i got to try my friends sled. You could steer it wherever you wanted to go. I didn't go on the hill that time. I went up and down the hill a few more times then we left the golf course, And went home.
